Lunar was my first completed charcoal piece of 2026, making it a natural starting point for the year. Horses have long symbolized freedom, endurance, determination, and a sense of quiet power. I felt inspired by the moons association with instinct, self-reflection and unseen influence. Lunar explores the internal journeys that shape us, while the darkness represents the unknown spaces we all navigate.
