MEET THE ARTIST

Hi, I'm Lilly, the artist behind Art by Lilly.

I've loved drawing for as long as I can remember, and growing up surrounded by pets and animals gave me a deep appreciation for them and the special place they hold in our lives. My family have always encouraged my creativity and supported my passion for both animals and art, which helped me to develop my skills and eventualy turn that passion into a buisiness. Today I share my home with my cat, four budgies, and a bearded dragon who provide endless inspiration for my art.

I am passionate about animal welfare, and believe that every animal deserves the best possible care. My own pets are a huge part of my life, and caring for them has only strengthened my appreciation for the special bond between people and their pets. I'm vegan for the animals, and particularly passionate about welfare of smaller pets, who are often overlooked despite having as much personality and individual needs as larger companion animals. Alongside creating art, I dedicate a lot of time providing high-quality, enriching care for my pets. The love and connection I feel towards all animals constantly inspires my art, and it is so special being able to celebrate the unique personality of every pet. I strive to create portraits that not only capture their appearance, but also their unique personalities to celebrate the pets we love and the memories we share with them.

In my free time I love to read, train my budgies and cat, learn languages, take willow on walks/adventures, and I'm currently doing a dog behaviour couirse.

I officially started my business on the 1st of October 2025, when I started my tiktok account and posted every day for 4 months. I'm so happy with how it has taken off, and it is an honour to have been able to draw so many beloved pets in such a short time-frame. I am now expanding to offering prints, originals, and charcoal pieces as-well as my custom pet portraits.
